Itinerary

DAY 1: THE SERINGAL MUSEUM & VILA PARAÍSO

Boarding at the port of Manaus there will be a safety briefing and presentation of the crew on board. Enjoy a welcome cocktail and then we will head to the Seringal Museum.

As we sail through the dark waters of the Rio Negro, lunch will be served. And shortly we will arrive at Lake Tarumã.

The space reproduces a rubber plantation from the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, the time of the rubber and a period of great economic growth in the Amazon. The facilities were originally used as locations for the filming of the feature film “A Selva”, by Portuguese director Leonel Vieira, who adapted the book of the same name from the Portuguese writer Ferreira Castro. As a counterpart to the support given by the State Government of Amazons to the production of the film. The scenery was donated to the Department of Culture, which transformed it into the Museu do Seringal Vila Paraíso.

After a pleasant time at the museum, we continue our trip to the Ariaú River, where we will spend the night.

Optional night tour: motorized canoe tour to observe and contemplate the wildlife of the jungle.

DAY 2: THE ARIAÚ RIVER, SUNRISE, AND THE RICHNESS OF THE AMAZON BIODIVERSITY

Why not start your day with a contemplative walk in the forest? Before breakfast you will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the sunrise in the middle of the jungle. A great moment to close your eyes, listen to the sound of the birds and the wind lightly passing through the great trees – allowing all of your senses to experience the Amazon.

Return to the boat for breakfast, and soon after you will have the chance to visit a place known for being the dolphin habitat of the Amazon, but not just any dolphin, the famous pink one! Although this type of dolphin appears in several regions of the Amazon, the lake of Acajatuba is one of the main meeting points of this species.

We will visit the project supported by ICMBIO – The institute is responsible for proposing, implementing, managing, protecting, inspecting and monitoring federal conservation units, in addition to promoting and executing programs for research, protection, preservation and conservation of biodiversity and exercising the power of environmental police for the protection of biodiversity throughout Brazil

We will continue our journey, and at night we will disembark at Jaradá Lake, still on the Cuieiras River, for a barbecue in a regional hut where we will have the opportunity to enjoy an Amazonian style party: a bonfire, lots of singing, and of course, we always count on having some talents amongst us, crew and passengers!

DAY 3: LAKE JARADÁ - THE BIODIVERSITY OF THE AMAZON

The day will dawn differently, you will be in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.

Get ready to have an unforgettable experience. We will do immersion tours in the forest. Go to the wonderful lake Jaradá which is rich in biodiversity. This is a region where we will contemplate one of the oldest species of Amazonian flora called “Macacarecúia” and with a vast wealth of orchids and bromeliads. In the afternoon we will take a walk in the forest to get to know one of the oldest ecosystems, called “Campina.

DAY 4: THE ANAVILHANAS ARCHIPELAGO & THE BEACH PRAIA GRANDE

And then we will arrive at the famous Anavilhanas Archipelago, where our whole experience will be dedicated to contemplation tours, and mainly: feeling the energy of the forest and going for swims in the river.

The Anavilhanas National Park covers around 400 islands. The park is located on the Rio Negro, close to the Jaú National Park. It is a Brazilian conservation unit for integral protection of nature located in the state of Amazonas, with territory distributed by the municipalities of Manaus, Iranduba and Novo Airão, it was created in 1981. Its purpose is to preserve the Anavilhanas river archipelago as well as its surrounding mangroves and plants, stimulate the production of knowledge through scientific research and promote the importance of the National Park for conservation.

The return to the boat will be in the late afternoon, this is one of the moments where anything can happen: instant rain showers, sudden flocks of birds that might accompany us, and a sun saying goodbye to another day in harmony with our mother nature. To finish the day there will be a barbecue of Amazonian flavor on the beach.

DAY 5: SAY GOODBYE TO THE FOREST - RETURN TO MANAUS
