Itinerary

DAY 1 - AN INVITATION TO ENJOY THE BEST EXPERIENCES IN THE AMAZON (Lunch / Dinner)
turista descansando no flutuante em frente ao manati lodge na área comum de lazer

Manati Jungle Hotel

Day 1 – Pick up at the hotel or airport at 9:00 am and transfer to the Manati Lodge. We pass by the Rio Negro Bridge and continue to where we board our speedboat. On the way we will see farms, riverside communities, mangroves, different species of birds, etc.

Upon arriving at the Manati Lodge, you will be greeted with a refreshing drink, and at midday, an Amazonian lunch is served followed by a siesta. At 3:00 pm we leave for the first canoe trip to discover our roundabouts. We will see igapós (small rivers), mangroves, monkeys and sloths, as well as other birds and animals typical of the jungle.

We return to the lodge around 5:30 pm and you will be able to enjoy the evening in the hammock on your balcony. At 7:00 pm dinner is served, with traditional and regional dishes.

Later, on the same night, a boat will take us on a jungle ride to spot alligators at night and observe their habitat. You will certainly be delighted to look at the starry sky in the forest without the distraction of the city lights. And if you’re lucky, you might see a shooting star!

DAY 2 - WALK IN THE FOREST & A TOUR THROUGH THE IGARAPÉS (C / A / J)

Day 2 – After breakfast, we leave at 9:00 am for an incredible walk in the jungle. We jump on a canoe to get to our starting point, passing through the mangroves. Our guides are very experienced and happily talk about the rich biodiversity of the Amazon. You will learn about several native plants, some suitable for medicinal or cosmetic use, you will be able to taste the water that comes out of the vines and you will hear the lively sound of birds and other typical animals.

We return to the Manati Lodge at about 11 am, to enjoy another delicious Amazonian lunch. We leave again at 4:00 pm for some regional fishing. Our guides are very familiar with this activity and are happy to help you get a catch!

At the end of the day, we return to the Manati Lodge and later, at 7:00 pm, dinner will be served.

DAY 3 - SUNRISE, VISIT TO THE FLOUR HOUSE, RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY (C, A, J)

Day 3 – One of the best ways to start the day is enjoying a beautiful sunrise in the middle of Rio Negro. We leave at 5:30 am by boat and stop at a strategic location for best visibility. In addition to the commotion of the birds and animals that are waking up, with some luck, we might be able to see the dolphins doing their “morning play”.

Get ready to record in your mind (and on camera) one of the most incredible images of your experience in the Amazon. The sky turns golden and it is truly a privilege to participate in such an exclusive experience.

Then we return to the lodge for breakfast and at 9:00 am we leave with an experienced guide to visit the “Casa de Farinha” (The Flour House). There we will learn about the planting and cultivation of cassava and learn more about the flour production. This type of food is essential for the Amazonian people and is present in all meals.

You can also taste the famous tapioca with chestnut from Pará, specially prepared for our guests.

In the afternoon, you will visit one of the communities in the Manati Lodge region, “Nossa Senhora do Socorro Perpétuo”, also known as Vila Acajatuba. The village is charming and you will have a chance to see the daily life of the riverside Amazonians.

We returned in the afternoon to the lodge for dinner at 7:00 pm.

DAY 4 - SWIM IN THE RIVER, CONTEMPLATIVE TOUR OF THE IGAPÓS, RETURN TO MANAUS

Day 4 – After another delicious breakfast, at 9:00 am we leave for our last activity and the most incredible jungle experience – a contemplative walk through the mangrove region with the possibility of seeing pink dolphins and different species of birds. And if you feel like it, this is a great time to go for a swim in the river!

We return to the Manati Lodge and lunch is served at noon. At 2:00 pm we leave for Manaus.
